While Twin Peaks Therapy can support you at any stage of the breast cancer journey, I prefer to provide care and support from the beginning – from diagnosis and oncology to post-surgery effects such as scarring, adhesions, lymphedema management, and whatever other conditions may result from treatment.
I begin with getting to know you, your key supporters, and the details of your case and treatment plan. Together we develop a customized approach to the various stages of treatment and determine the frequency of visits that will optimize your results.
Twin Peaks provides services in two locations San Diego to serve more of the community.

Different stages and phases of our approach.
"Breast cancer massage therapy was one of the most important parts of my breast cancer recovery. Post surgery I had numerous scars and limited mobility on my left side which affected my ability to do fine detailed art projects.
Aimee is a wonderful care giver who made me feel very comfortable and confident that I was making progress. I am now close to 100% mobility and feel great. Thank you, Aimee." - Coronado Breast Cancer Survivor
" I started seeing Aimee when I had no previous luck finding someone who could focus on my very firm and sore fibrotic tissue. Radiation and multiple surgeries had left many areas around my right breast/axilla tight, scarred, and with limited movement. She listened to my full history (and my story) and designed a treatment plan to focus on loosening the tissue and gaining better mobility. Within a few treatments, I was able to see and feel visible results. My oncologist noticed the difference during my next visit, saying the breast and surrounding tissue were much less firm and more closely matched my natural breast. I would recommend treatment with Aimee, and also learning from her helpful at-home exercises to maintain the momentum between visits." - Samantha
"I am a Breast Cancer Survivor, 23 months post mastectomy. Before I found Aimee, Twin Peaks Therapy, I was having so much discomfort at and around my mastectomy site. I didn't know where to turn. I was feeling desperate for some relief from my discomfort.
I found that relief in working with Aimee for the past nine months. Aimee is so caring and compassionate. She is also very dedicated to helping those of us who must take this journey. I feel blessed that she is helping me to achieve comfort and healing both physically and emotionally. I am so grateful to her. " - Patricia C.
"I highly recommend Aimee as an experienced and compassionate massage therapist specializing in breast cancer recovery. My surgeon recommended Aimee for massage after my mastectomy so I saw her right away. She helped me through recovery, chemo, and radiation and I plan to see her indefinitely. It is really nice to work with a therapist that knows the path of breast cancer treatment and recovery. I love that she always shares tips that she has learned from her training and clients in similar scenarios. She has become a great friend and I look forward to relaxing and healing at every visit." - Kristen
"Aimee has been instrumental in helping me regain full range of motion following a diagnosis of breast cancer that was treated with mastectomy, reconstruction, and breast reduction of the unaffected breast. With Aimee's excellent care, my scar tissue impingements have been resolved and I am now able to move my arm freely. In addition to mobility issues, after surgery, I found that air travel would cause my arm to swell (due to the surgical removal of lymph nodes for diagnosis). Aimee's lymphedema massage technique is effective and each time I have felt immediately better with the lymph blockage relieved and discomfort gone. For me, just one session made all the difference in the world. I am grateful that Aimee has chosen to focus her skills and develop an expertise to help cancer survivors like me with our complicated recoveries. She has a thoughtful approach, caring and gentle. As an added plus, I've had excellent massages outside of cancer recovery. An 80 minute massage with Aimee in her peaceful studio is like a mini vacation! I highly recommend it to anyone needing a break to refresh and re-energize." - Susan
"I highly recommend Aimee at Twin Peaks Therapy. The best plan you can make is to save Twin Peaks contact information and start seeing her early. I am a person who likes to plan everything, and I had all my post lumpectomy & treatment recovery appointments and products all set. What I didn’t plan for was the level of damage my body suffered from surgical scarring, responses to implanted staples & structures, radiation & chemical changes from treatment medications and hormone blockers. My medical team’s in-house lymphatic therapy provided was occasional with limited hands on. I kept getting worse and was told by all providers “It takes 6 months to heal." After a couple of months of this, I was suffering from lost functional use of my right arm and in constant dysfunctional pain. I had lymphedema, cording, enlarged, swollen and hard scar tissue, radiation fibrosis and costochondritis. Thankfully, I was connected to Aimee by a breast cancer support group leader. Aimee helped me in all aspects, providing me with research and assisted me with articulating my needs to my medical team. She went above and beyond to help me find compression garments and pads and tools to use at home. Her hands-on therapeutic techniques have taken me to a functional healing place. I still have some items I am working through and thanks to her I am heading in the right direction.
I say start early because if you let your issues progress like I did, it amplifies, compounds and takes longer to heal than simply keeping it from flaring up in the beginning. Using a private practice allows for flexibility and direct contact for ease of scheduling. Aimee understands the systems affected by breast cancer treatments and what they need to begin healing, how they interact with each other during this post treatment time and can educate you. Aimee’s skillful healing touch and thoughtful conversations assisted and empowered me to navigate my recovery. The first thing you should do is put your recovery therapy first." - T.S.
